About the Original Title: Butterfly Tree Size: 30 x 40 Inquire About This Piece |
|||
This painting was one of my more ambitious pieces. It was my third attempt at creating a painting that showed the resemblance of butterflies and flowers. I have always noticed the reoccurring patterns in nature as in the way the veins of a leaf mimic its parent, the tree. The wings of a butterfly and the petals of a flower are another example. My daughter helped point this out to me at three when she thought that butterflies were simply flying flowers or maybe she thought that flowers were butterflies sitting very still. The bird is just for mischief. < Go back to the gallery |
