Rhododendron Foxes is probably my most intricate and one of the most difficult pieces I have ever done. I became involved in the intricacies of painting a "Rhododendron Hell." This is a mountain phenomenon where the rhododendron is so thick you cannot possibly walk through. Red fox was a common sight at one time in the Appalachian Mountains. Unfortunately, I seldom see the beautiful sight of a running fox with its fluffy tail streaming out behind it anymore. I am glad that they can live in a place I created. < Go back to the gallery |
